3DE BASIC PETG is European produced and comes on a plastic spool.

PETG is known to have good mechanical properties in terms of hardness, toughness and impact resistance. Combined with chemical resistance, PETG with its good mechanical properties can be used to produce objects with a relatively high dimensional accuracy and stability of various shapes. PETG combines the advantages of PLA and ABS, as it is easy to print with and has high mechanical properties.

The advantages of 3DE Premium PETG are that it has exceptionally good adhesion between the layers and is generally more durable and elastic. A big advantage of 3DE Premium PETG is also the low shrink rate and the low moisture absorption, compared to other thermoplastics used for FDM / FFF 3D printing.

PET (Polyethylene Terephthalate) is the plastic filament that is the most used plastic in the world. PET is found in clothing, containers for liquids and food, thermoforming and in combination with glass fiber for engineering filament. Thousands of consumer products, food and beverages are delivered and packaged in this material.

PETG is a modified version of PET. The modification is achieved by adding another glycol during the polymerization. If PET gets too much heat, it becomes cloudy and brittle, PETG filament does not. The added glycol prevents the material from crystallizing and becoming vulnerable. PETG has a high transparency compared to other materials.
