Polymaker - Industrial Polymide - PA6-GF - Gray - 2.85 - 2kg

PolyMide™ is a family of Nylon/Polyamide based filaments. Produced with Polymaker's Warp-Free™ and Fiber-Adhesion™ technology, PolyMide™ filaments deliver technical properties that characterize Nylon and light printing.

PolyMide™ PA6-GF is an industrial glass fiber filled PA6 (Nylon 6) filament. The material exhibits excellent thermal and mechanical properties without sacrificing layer adhesion.

Nylon, also known as polyamide (PA), is one of the most popular engineering grade plastics used in a wide variety of industries. It is an excellent matrix material for composites such as fiberglass, improving stiffness, strength and heat resistance.

PolyMide™ PA6 GF features Polymaker's Warp-Free™ technology and Fiber Adhesion™ technology:

Warp-Free™ technology enables the production of Nylon-based filaments that can be 3D printed with excellent dimensional stability and almost no warping. This is achieved by fine control of the microstructure and crystallization behavior of Nylon, which enables the material to fully release the internal stress before solidification. Warp-Free™ technology is designed to work best with minimal build plate temperatures - MAX 50 ° C

It is not recommended to print PolyMide™ PA6-CF with a high temperature heated build plate or a heated print chamber as the kinetic energy will cause parts to crystallize faster during printing and fail to achieve Warp-Free technology. See 3D Eksperten's large selection of building boards here .

Fiber Adhesion™ technology improves the layer adhesion of fiber reinforced materials by optimizing the surface chemistry of the fibers to achieve better dispersion and bonding to the matrix. This results in better strength along the Z axis and reduced mechanical anisotropy.
