This is the latest generation Bondtech upgrade to the popular Prusa I3 MK3S with an optimized design achieved with the help of the community.

BONDTECH EXTRUDER FOR PRUSA I3 MK3S & MK2.5S

This kit contains the necessary parts to convert your current extruder to BondTech's own popular design based on our BMG (Bondtech Mini Geared) extruder with 3:1 gear ratio for better precision and resolution along with optimized heatsink geometry. It is also compatible with the MK2.5S model.

LIGHTWEIGHT BMG (BONDTECH MINI GEARED)

With this version we also lower the motion weight to reduce ghosting and vibration or to allow increased print speed. 15% of the weight saving was achieved.

MAIN FUNCTIONS OF THE PRODUCT

This extruder upgrade kit is for the Prusa i3 MK3S or other Prusa i3 models upgraded to the MK3S.

These are its main features:

*Adapted to fit Prusa's new filament sensor

*Includes a Bondtechs BMG extruder with 3:1 gear ratio

*Optimized geometry for cooling the heatsink

*Less movement weight to reduce vibration and ghosting ¨

*Professional SLS 3D-printed housing.

ADDRESSING 3D PRINTING PROBLEMS

The improved housing design improves cooling and reduces heat creep issues that all metal heatsinks have when printed with PLA. This small improvement will avoid many clogs. The increased thrust drastically reduces slippage, shredding and filament deformation and avoids most of the common 3D printing problems that start with under and over extrusion.

COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT

This is a co-development work with great guys in the Prusa Community like Chris Warkocki, Grégorie Saunier (Bear Upgrades), Olof Ogland, Erik Bjorgan, Josh Jones, Kyle Wiehe, Marc Evertz, Matt Harrison, Ocie Ward, Sando Bendig, Vecko Kojchevski ( Vecko Extruder), Steven Mölby and Yuri Delia who have provided excellent feedback and suggestions on how to develop the "perfect" extruder setup for the Prusa series printer. A lot of work has gone into this project and we tried to listen to all input to find a solution that best suits the Prusa I3 MK3S.
